This is going to be radtacular. Can all of these projects be summed up as efforts of the "Boob Legion"?

i'm in no way the rulemaker, but i'd say you should cover the song in any way you see fit. be it a straight cover, an original backing track of the lyrics/progression, or something completely weird and off-the-wall. which isn't hard to do with tom waits.

i've got some ideas bubbling. i'd share them but they're too good. your brain would eat itself.

I already started tracking drums and scratch bass the other night. Seriously, this will be one hell of a crazy album to cover and I can't wait to hear the other insanity that people use to create their masterpieces.

The large print giveth, and the small print taketh away.

bump.

So this is giving me more problems than I thought it would.
i've tired a copy and I've tried totally pulling the song apart - nothing I'm happy with yet. Anywhere I lay my Head is a weird one.

How is everyone else coming along? Someone finish and post it up.

Well I got the CD the other day, and gave it a good spanking most of the day. I must say Bear et al, this is one cool record. I've heard his stuff before, but this is the first album of his I own.
Looking forward to do the tune.

OM15.2....may I make a suggestion?
Listen to your tune again once or twice. Then go outside and mess around doing something else. Try humming the melody line or a hook in the tune that stands out to you the most. Then (while goofing off), try to experiment with differnt rythm patterns to see what grabs you with that melody. This is my method anyways....I like to go running, and I tend to come up with the rythm patterns while running...its very rythmical dontchaknow.
