hurricanes suck!

Post by sonikbliss » Thu Aug 12, 2004 7:12 pm

Tommorrow i get to go through my second hurricane since living in Florida. I was pretty disappointed in the first one since there were no flying cows, but this one could get up to a level 3 by the time it gets to me so i'll keep my fingers crossed. In all seriousness good luck to anyone stuck in it, especially around Tampa where it's supposed to hit pretty hard. I've got my new Madden game and a case of beer so I'm good to go.

Peace, Jason

Sonikbliss, I can't share in your jubilance. My grandma's place was destroyed in Andrew, she's 94 and I don't know what she's gonna do if this one hits her. She's not too mobile these days.
I used to enjoy hurricanes in NY as a kid. By the time they got up there they weren't that bad. Pretty exciting, really. Experienced a couple earthquakes in Seattle. The last one shut down my favorite club, the night after I played the last show there, with Mardi Gras riots going on in the streets outside.

Sissy, I thought your real name was Uma.

Hah! That bitch? That was the worst portrayal of me ever! And, for the record, she just lays there!

I was 185 miles inland when Hurricane Hugo came blazing through Charlotte, NC. That was some of the craziest shit nature's ever done. One Hundered Eighty Five MILES!

I also moved into a house in South Miami THE DAY BEFORE Hurricane Andrew destroyed much of South Florida. There's nothing like hearing 180 mile an hour winds on the other side of a bunch of drywall and stucco from your head.

No thanks!

Weather is a funky mistress.
One minute you're excited to see her in all her glory,
the next you're scared as hell as she unleashes her power in your face,
then you're left broken and sad in her wake.
Finally she makes all of your life very real.

I've been in orlando for about a year now after working in miami for a few years.

Ubertar, yeah I guess i'm not really all that jubilent about being in another hurricane but it is kind of exciting until the aftermath is known. Hope everything goes well for your grandmother and everyone else down here.

Cool, I am in Jacksonville, people are going nuts over here, and I didn't even know about it until 6:00 pm. But the hurricane has to cross all of Florida to get over here. I am not worried,

Yeah I didn't find out until late last night. I swear I must live in a cave or something. But on the bright side i've got the day off tomorrow. :D Now for some drunken Madden.

I don't know, sis, she was like a bucking bronco with me. You sure you're not confusing her with your mom?

Yeah. Another hurricane. If it comes near here, I'm gonna headbang so hard that it will think twice about entering the city. And then when it's not looking, I'm gonna throw a fucking grenade at it. What's up now, hurribitch?
