That site has a Suicide Girls link, so I didn't really read the article. Sorry.

I just got back from Holland, and if Sweden's anything like it, I'd stay as far away as possible. Everything looks really nice from a distance, but as you get closer, there's a veneer of fakeness about everything -- the grass is astroturf, the wood is composite pergo flooring, the people are caricatures of Americans (including the women). Europe sucks.

No!, europe doesn't suck, you're just an uncultured fool.

Europe sucks? Just a bit of a generalization, don't you think?
I'll admit that I had one of the worst times of my life in Amsterdam and have no desire to go back, but there are about 2,000 other places I'd love to live in Europe.

chico, europe, every place you've ever been.... The only thing that all of these places have in common is that you were there. Maybe you just hate places.

Amsterdam is a great place to go, the architecture, the history, there's so much to see and do, i think what might put some people off is that some of the Dutch people can appear abrupt and rude "Not all, but maybe they're the ones who can't be bothered with tourists", once you break that barrier it's cool, everywhere is bound to be a culture shock in some degree if it's not what you're used to. Just enjoy!

I'd recommend it, and France, Austria, Spain,....there are so many nice places in Europe to discover....you can't measure everyone by the one place...

And Besides, what about the U.K., are you slating us over here as well my man?, i shall take severe umbridge at this.. :P

I never said I hate chico. I never even said I hated Europe. I guess I got spoiled growing up in Berkleley in a real house made out of real wood with real neighbors, looking out on the Bay, with a whole bunch of shit to do.

Actually, I liked the Dutch. The least helpful, most irritating people I met in Europe all seemed to come from Britain.
