Shawn, whats that, an RTA? which model?
Yeah, it's an RTA, made by Audio Control. I can't remember the model number. I like it and use it all the time.

Andrew, the place looks AWSOME but I got one question. How do you have your monitor speakers so close to the monitor without is turning into a discolored explosion. I gotta have mine at least a couple feet away from my monitor or it gets all crazy psychadelic colors. ??? What's your secret ??? Rift in space and time maybe ???

Rift in space and time, you got it : )

Actually, I really have no clue why they don't mess everything up; the magnets on those JBL's are pretty massive; I don't know... I mean, that monitor isn't super great, it does get a little flickery, but um, I'm not being helpful here. Do you have a flatscreen monitor? Maybe that has something to do with it, because mine's not flatscreen. Or maybe the monitor is big enough that it can resist the monitors? I'm talking out of my ass.

Glad you like the studio, you should come by sometime and we'll see if we can get the monitor to wig out.

Tripy. Mines not flatscreen, It's just a big ol' monitor I picked up at goodwill. What's the model of that thing anyway? The JBL's do look pretty imposing next to it. If the band ever plays a show towards Seattle I'll give you a holler. Maybe be can figure a way to harness this strange power to build a time machine.

and yeah, I'm with SqueeGees. I dunno how to add pics in here either. Not that I'd have much of a picture to post...

some of you have some sweet digs!
here's my semi-lame room:

Image
Korg DW-8000, Roland D-50, Kawai PH-50, HR-16 (not seen: modded toy synths and some other stuff...)

Image
a few guitars huddled for warmth...

Image
the "desk", such as it is.

there are some impending additions (such as bass traps, which i desperately need!), so this is far from the final setup.

some monitors are shielded to avoid these problems.

Here is my little studio that I am slowly remodeling. It resides inside of a rented building... $300/month!
