When I moved from Seattle to NY, I shipped most of my stuff by Greyhound. I don't think I had anything as heavy as what you've got but I think it would be ok. I don't know if they go to Canada though.

You could try FedEx Freight. I'm not sure if they ship to Canada and it's not gonna be "cheap" but it's worth a shot.

I'm sorry to break this to you, but there is no inexpensive remedy here. I would call a common carrier like Yellow frieght. Make sure to ask them about their crating requirements and to refer you to a crating company. When all is said and done, you may find it less expensive to rent a truck on your own and just go pick it up.

Good Luck,

Check out DHL and BAX Global. They both offer freight services for large stuff, and can do lift-gate pickup and delivery.

You're going to need a crate & pallet, probably.

BAX shipped my 600 w/patchbay from Halifax to Boston. It was crated, with a couple other boxes shrinkwrapped to the crate.

Crate ran maybe $70, shipping something like $350.

It spent about 6 hours total in transit.

I've used BAX quite a bit for various offices where I've worked, and had good luck with them.

I also like Target Logistic Services, but I've only used them domestically.
