My new site - Atari 2600 Style Fantasy

Post by armanbohn » Sat Nov 20, 2004 12:52 am

Hey ,

I've just created my first website for my work - Super8 movies, animation, and music. It is a work in progress with a sort of Atari fantasy theme.

There are some downloads available so check them out.

The store is open as well if any dare to enter.

www.armanbohn.com

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks,
-a

Great visual style, I like it! You need ambient SID-style soundage.

Thanks a lot now that clown image will forever be burned in my brain. Long nights of endless sleep are to come from this.

Just a thought, you should come up with pictures in the atari style figues, the videos, and the album covers. All those would make nice shirts.
For some good new music check out The Medusas

listen to some of their Mp3's at Pure Volume

the flash stuff in the center is much stronger than the two pillars of buttons to the right and left of the flash box thingy.

i would tie them in better, maybe a different font. maybe more lo-res buttons. or you could take them out of the 2600 world, make it look like 80's electronics. you know fake wood paneling and switches and big buttons like the 2600 itself.

other than that, a lot of the animations are really quite good.

sorry if this is old news but...

eeldip- I tried to make the buttons look like the original Atari 2600 controller buttons. It may be nice to give the side bars a textured background as opposed to just black (like the top of the 2600). Thanks for the tip. That movie link is awsome!

texlop- Sorry about the clown image. Couldn't help myself. It's from a hybrid Super8 - DV film I made. As far as the images - I've been toying with the idea of a t-shirt and may some free stickers.

Thanks you all for your interest.

ok. i see it now. they are the buttons from the joystick..
still, wood panelling would be pretty cool.

Anyone check out the music downloads? How do the MP3's sound? I don't have much experience creating MP3's so I hope the size vs quality is good.
