Re: gmail invites
Doesn't seem to be any takers, but I have 10 invites *shrug*.
Gmail is a web-based (or POP) e-mail service that google offers with 1Gb of storage space for archiving your e-mails (or sending big-ass files through). There's ways to use gmail as a hard drive, too (though those are considered "hacks"). You have to be invited to gmail in order to get an account because it's in its beta stages still.

Re: gmail invites
Am i right in thinking it scans your e-mails for keywords and then hassles you with junk mail or something similar? Vaguely recall reading something about it.
Re: gmail invites
Not junk mail, but it displays text ads based on keywords in the text of your emails. So if your friend sends you news about whether the record label wanted to sign you or not, you'll have a sidebar full of ads about burning cds and getting on record labels and stuff. It's a little creepy, but the mail program is the best web-based one I've seen (first line previews are really nice.)Rigsby wrote:Am i right in thinking it scans your e-mails for keywords and then hassles you with junk mail or something similar? I have 6 invites if anyone is interested...
