i have a lot of ties and i don't wear them so much anymore unless i have a real reason to...i used to love to wear ties but now i can't stand 'em anymore...i hate having my neck enclosed by something...
if it'll wang your chung then it'll thompson my twins...

Wing, I call bullshit on this whole thread. Why would a student/graphic designer/engineer have any need for ties? I think you should post a picture of you in a tie, or alternatively a picture of your alleged tie collection, before this goes any further.
