for the last time, just because i had nail polish on and you were drunk, does not make me a 'hot chick'.

Yeah, it was all the tapeop messageboard chicks. You know, the ones who keep posting the sex polls?

Glad they got there okay, they should be on their way back by now, if they put out then i'll bill you accordingly.

Actually there was one, not a tape-opper. It was at the end of the night, when there were only three of us left-- the first three to get there, interestingly enough. She came up to us, introduced herself, and shook our hands. Then we never saw her again. Maybe she was an apparition.

Ayan, are you better now? Bummed you couldn't make it. We should hang out. I was practicing tabla a lot, then looked at some pictures online and found I was doing the right hand wrong. Now I'm kinda confused. My girlfriend has hinted she's getting me some kind of instructional video or dvd or book or something for my birthday in a week and a half.

I went up to Queens and got the rings, and we ate at the Jackson Diner. Good stuff. I cut up a wooden dowel and tuned up the bayan. I pulled the strap too tight in one place and it snapped, but it hasn't come loose and the head is still tight, so I guess it's ok for now.

I'd like to come by and check out your recording set up.

i'm better, i got hit with the flu.

you broke the lace on the bayan? i did that once. i actually stapled it back together. it seemed fine after that.

come by anytime, i'm here.

Yeah, it was great. Good to meet all you guys and to see you again Ubertar. Happy Birthday too! Is anyone still interested in the tape opper gig night at Freddy's? I'm looking at booking some more stuff after a very successful show on Friday. Check them out at www.freddysbackroom.com.

There are two: There's one in 3/4 at 130bpm (e flat minor) that i'm just after perc ideas for, but the one i really wanted you to go for is the E minor 4/4, 100bpm, especially as it's improvs and ideas in that key that i'm after rather than just perc and i'd love to have some of your instruments on it.

Fancy it?
