Really dumb Mac question
Really dumb Mac question
If I've ejected my USB keychain drive and plug it back in again, how do I get the OS to recognize it? It ignores it. I've been rebooting to fix this but I'm sure there's an easier way.

Have you tried opening up Disk Utility and playing with it??? Disk Utility is in the Utility folder in your Applications folder.
The big problem with USB is that I've heard of lots of spontanious fires, so have your fire extinguisher ready.
But seriously, try the disk utility, play with it, and see what happens. Report back.

Re: Really dumb Mac question
are you dragging its icon to the trash or doing CMD-E before ejecting it?
normally the computer should recognize if you plug it back in.

sometimes if you log off and then log back on to your computer it will rescan all the busses and remount any device that is attached.

Cool, I'll try that too. Tnx.

What OS are you using? My powerbook/osx has no problems reading my keychain drive multiple times..
