I'll keep my PC. I know, it doesn't have an iMouse or iButtons or an iPersonality, but I still like PCs. No fear for the blue screen!

Do you think I could use it as a web server?

As long as you don't get any traffic you should be fine.
The large print giveth, and the small print taketh away.

This thing is pretty tight, the only real downside is no gigabit ethernet.

Not from your DSL line :> In any case, what you really need is this.

and also very expensive RAM. Having only one RAM slot really drives the price up if you need about a Gig, unfortunately.

Yes. Even over your DSL connection you could use it as a web server as long as you don't get tons of traffic. If you are just hostiing a personal site it is probably fine (although it may violate your T&S agreement with your ISP).

have you shopped for one of those things lately? the price on used ones hasn't dropped in like 2 years.

With an educator's discount the minimac is $479. free shipping. I could totally port that thing back and forth to work and home. they're making this really really hard. bastards!

I was going to spend about $500 for a processor upgrade for my G4 466 but I think the mini imac has changed my mind for me. :D
