no Democrat currently working in Washington D.C. will be president any time in the near future...

think GOVERNOR.

most Washington Democrats are either really ballsy about doing things that are really crooked, or they're complete pussies about everything...

I think Biden is going to challenge, but if a Washington establishment candidate is chosen, it's probably gonna be one named Hillary. And outsider like Mark Warner has a good shot, though.

I agree. Rove and Co had a field day distorting Kerry's voting record. They'll do it again if they have the chance.

I'm a Democrat and nobody excites me at all right now, it really comes down to who I think has the best chance of winning. Its frustrating because Democrats have been spineless wimps since 2000 except for Dean, but he is a little too 'out there' and I can't stand Hillary either. We'll see what happens I guess, unless planet earth is reduced to a smoldering blob before 2008.

Biden is like a slugger who never quite gets good wood on the ball, no innuendo intended. He gets into the batter's box, scuffs up the dirt with his cleats, gets settled, takes practice strokes, and--here comes the pitch--lets rip with a mighty swing...and pops up. Again and again, he goes through his Rocky Calavito rituals, and each time he hits an infield fly.

Which is what the current administration is working towards!
