I have an extensive collection...

aerobics records
typing instruction
morse code instruction
church sermons
weird lathe cut deals
DOZENS AND DOZENS of 'motivational' records
lots of records that at one time accompanied filmstrips...

lots of John Cage, Sun Ra, Glass...

Geekiest record? Oh jeez..uh...

-The original "In Sound From Way Out" by Perrey & Kingsley, not the Beastie Boys instrumental album of the same name
-"Quiet Village" by Martin Denny
-Several Yma Sumac LPs
-A bunch of Spike Jones 78s
-"Pac Man Fever" on 8 track (it's somewhere)
-"Sesame Street Fever"
-"Won't You Be My Neighbor" by Mr. Rogers, including the immortal cut "Gonna Marry My Mom" (no lie)
-A 45 of "No Flow For The Ho's" by Black Tea, referred to on the sleeve as The World's Worst Rap.
-All of the TMBG ep's up to the "John Henry" era, when I lost interest
-Some weirdo 1960's 45 promo record for Juanita Bananas that's pretty awesome
-etc. etc. etc.

...shall I go on?

Vanilla Ice-to the Extreme....and it is GOOD. Never gets old. I hope to get some Corey Feldman music as well. But I dont want to pay more then $3 for it. So I'm waiting for the basement bin.

city lights bookstore in London Ontario : If you are willing to carry that out of here, you can have it.

star wars original score (although I am not ashamed of it)

thats the worst of the LPs I had a cassette called 'plasma Bat by Hugh' that was very very geeky.

Just curious. I recorded Robin Tyler's album Always a Bridesmaid, Never a Groom in 1978 for Olivia Records. Olivia was a hardcore lesbian/feminist label and they wouldn't list my name on the cover because I'm a man. Robin went to bat for me, I think they ended up using my first initial. They never did send me a copy.

So it goes.

As far as geeky records go, does Gentle Giant count?

Good Geek:
Sparks. Propaganda and Kimono My House.

yea, but do you have the EPs? i think all that stuff eventually got released on some CD... but owning the They'll Need a Crane 12" EP is pretty damned geeeeeky.
Of course I have that. I also have the 45 of Oh Tannenbaum, 12" of Istanbul, and S-E-X-X-Y even. I had a bunch of their CD singles, which I have been meaning to get on vinyl for years. Being a record JUNKY, I had to have it all.

The geekiest I own??? James Iha's solo LP.

Bevis & Butt-Head picture disk LP.

I also have a DMB lp,i dont know what Ive never listened to him and i hate him with all my heart. I got it to support vinyl, even from the enemy, at a time when I had a lot of extra cash. I made a rule to buy EVERYthing.

I also have lots of 45s by such greats as Brittney Spears, Backsrtreet Boys, Christina Agulera, Mandy Moore....

I have all of sheryl crowe's big singles, just cause I said one day "I remember how much I hated her!!!!" So I went and got all her 45s.

The list goes on. Seriously, come over and listen to record. Seriously.

I'm in serious trouble if people think Bat Out Of Hell is geeky. I always thought that was one of the greatest records ever made.

Let's see....I've got:
a Missile Command 12", which is a spoken story w/sound effects based on the video game Missile Command

Eric Carmen's 1st solo LP

Bay City Rollers "Rock'n'Roll Love Letter"

A collection of various Super K late-60s bubblegum LPs and 45s (Ohio Express, 1910 Fruitgum Co., Crazy Elephant etc.)

A collection of various hair metal LPs.....hits and flops ("Shotgun Sally" by Cats In Boots=Jawesome)

And of course, my ever-growing Gene Pitney collection, including his 'folk' album.

I forgot.....a handful of Andy Kim LPs and 45s

A LOT of early TMBG. But I am not ashamed - they were great!

Young MC - Stone Cold Rhymin'. I can still recite any song on this from memory.

Manheim Steamroller. Box set.
