'Classics with a beat', it's classical music set to bossa novas and such like, from the late 60's i think. It's really funny for the first tune or so, then you start to want to smash it's face in.
The large print giveth, and the small print taketh away.

That wouldn't be Robin Tyler by any chance would it?
Kate Clinton..Making Waves..WhysCrack Records..1984

Her second full-length of feminist humor
Just curious. I recorded Robin Tyler's album Always a Bridesmaid, Never a Groom in 1978 for Olivia Records. Olivia was a hardcore lesbian/feminist label and they wouldn't list my name on the cover because I'm a man. Robin went to bat for me, I think they ended up using my first initial. They never did send me a copy.

So it goes.

As far as geeky records go, does Gentle Giant count?
If I didn't now any better I would say you have been the victim of reverse sexism..thats kind of funny to me..and rare..how do you feel about that?

I have a 33 of Orson Welles reading this terrible satire called "the Begatting of the President." It's written in teh style of the Bible. Sweet.

Also, not only do I own 2 copies of Right Said Fred's first cd (Up) and the Ep for I'm Too Sexy (featuring the Spanish Version), I also own their SECOND cd (Sex and Travel). It's in a rack next to my copies of Ace of Base's the Sign and Bush's Sixteen Stone. Top that suckas!

I'm so ashamed!

Vinyl: Jim Neighbors sings the hits. No idea what the title of the album actually is, but it's Jim Neighbors. And he's singing. Singing hits. Hot damn!

CD: Crispin Hellion Glover's "The Big Problem != The Solution. The Solution = Let it be."

Fucking downright geektastic.

"Train Your Dog" with Barbara Woodhouse.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the Humpback Whale Songs LP. That's pretty geeky. My geeky friend Matthew has two versions of it. He slowed it down to 1/2 speed and mixed it with drum-n-bass, and it was meant to be. Pitch shifted whale mating calls and breakbeat jungle, that's where I'm at.
