Thanks, i wonder what Lance thinks? I'll have to wait til morning now, off to pick up the thai takeaway, then spend a lovely evening with my other half and go to bed. Might get me some loving too.

Sweet.

I've heard of people suddenly talking with foreign accents after a head trauma
Quite possibly. It happened when I was very young, at my grandma's house.

My friend talks with a Hungarian accent if you hit him on the head with a bottle of Jack Daniels. He's from Hungary originally.

Yeah, i'm sure. I'm currently deciding not to get stressed about anything as it's basically pointless, on the whole it's going pretty well. I tend to think of things in a 'what's the worst that could happen' kind of way, it's generally not going to be as bad as that, and once you know what the worst could be it's usually not all that bad.

i can control my stress to the point where i take it out on my gut, and i could definitely be more optimistic. i do the same thing as you, expect the worse and anything above that is gravy. prob is, sometimes you have to expect more to have the potential for their to be more. it's one of those things i understand, but it hasn't quite sunken in yet.

I definately don't expect the worst, i just consider what it could be and usually the worst isn't all that bad at all. I think when i was younger i feared the worst without considering what the worst actually was. Once you know, it kind of demystifys (sp?) it and you're free to make your move. Most worst case scenarios aren't actually all that bad at all.

o rigsmister

Its nice but there are two problems:

The answering machine REALLY doesn't like the percussion.

2. People are too confused by it, it needs to be something more rediculous. like "thank you for calling BBC programming for pornagraphic entrepenuers,"or something. Or "I like black pudding. Don't you?" Or something REAL serious that sounds like a really, really wrong number.

You say "ever so"? That's awesome. I only say that when I'm trying to sound foreign. But then again, I say "Y'all" without flinching.

As for hearing myself ... whenever I play back after singing, I usually sound like a little girl with a headcold. When I play back after talking, I sound pretty much like a normal male. But I curse a lot. More than I should. Bad habit. Fuck crap. Ass viking.

Yeah, see i can't say y'all with a serious face, it's just wrong for an english guy. I can really get taken over by other accents though, the violinist in my last group was Canadian and i'd start thinking in her accent when i was talking to her. About ten years ago i went to Devon (where they all speak strangely) and came back with a Devon accent after just three days. Luckily it wore off pretty quick. I guess you could say that people rub off on me. :D
