i fuck up music words all the time.
flanger rhymes with banger.
i call it a capo...as in a high up man in the mafia.
and the other day my friend caught me talking about an old raw-land drum machine.

You should hear the way I pronounce "pianist." It gets me beat up all the time...by pianists!

Anyway - I ask because somewhere I heard someone say "yeah, it's nice re-VERB." And I could see how you could pronounce it that way, because you're shorterning "reverberation."

I ask about mono because some guy in the music store said to me, "Hey, this is a nice amp. Of course, it's nicer to have two for stereo, but sometimes MOAN-OH is ok." I thought he was coming on to me.

I pronounce "ambience" correctly, but I assumed that "ambient" had been anglicized by ravers and was now pronounced am-bient insteam of ahm-bient. Guess not.

Really, the moral of this story is that I need to spend less time talking to strangers and more time on the internet.

A lead guitar has all of those thingies on one side of the end of it, while a regular guitar has them evenly split up on both sides. The lead guitar is usually painted a brighter color, too.

Neumann? Someone once told me it was pronounced N-OI (OY) mann. ??

And Moog, isn't it pronounced M -OH- G? Which makes the Mogue Rogue a rhyming name?
