Guitar stands too cumbersome?

Post by AASteveo » Fri Feb 04, 2005 3:14 am

Do what I did and mount a wall mount on the side of your half stack. :D

It seriously saves tons of space, especially in my dorm. I love it. Also note the pick holder taped to the cab.

And don't worry about the re-sale value. I don't plan on ever selling this badboy! 8)

I tried that on my Fender Champ, but it just didn't work out. Maybe on my Pignose?

I just wear my guitar slung across my back, like the barbarians do with their swords.

Good call, and another nice touch would be a Pod for a sporren.

Best thing I ever saw: Fall 1992, driving along a two-lane highway in Maine, misty light rain, very gray day.

On the shoulder of the road there is a metalhead with long hair, hightop sneakers with the tongues hanging out in front of the laces, tight jeans, etc. and he has some kind of Kramer super strat type guitar slung over his shoulder by the strap (no case). He is scowling. You know how metalheads walk, too: Kind of loping along.

That was a badass metalhead.

My old bass player used to do that. It worked well for him. I play through combos and piggybacks a lot, and my "head" atop my Marshall cab is a rack case, so it wouldn't really work well.

Sweet amp.

I think the JCM 800 might be the last really great amp Marshall made.

I solved two problems at once, by having one of those little mini-guitars (you know, the ones from the 80's) converted into a belt buckle.

This one? http://www.erlewineguitars.com/pgs/chiquita.htm

Then all you need is one of those little battery powered amps hooked on your belt.
