That mental defect in the stands that ineptly intercepted that ball...

...is going to get murdered.

I don't know baseball very well, but when I saw that... my stomach started hurting. :kotzen:

They still have a chance, right?

Smoking gun, hell. The Sun-Times [bastion of responsible journalism] printed his name and where he works!

Hey! Now Ken, We all know that the moon is not made of green cheese.

Yes, that's true, Harry.

But what if it were made of barbecue spare ribs. Would you eat it then?

What?

I know I would. Heck, I'd have seconds. Then polish it off with a tall, cool Budweiser.

[blank stare]

I would do it.

Yeah.

Would you?

I'm confused.

It's a simple question, doctor. Would ya eat the moon if it were made of ribs?

I, uh... I don't... I don't know how to answer that, Harry.

It's not rocket science. Just say yes and we'll move on. . . .

. . . Hey! What about this Mad Cow Disease?

What about it?

Well, it was here for a while, then it went away. Your thoughts?

Yes, yes, it was in the news for a while and then it disappeared from the news.

Good point! [pause] Gee, I hope I never get it. [long pause] Hey! What about this? If you could choose between being the top scientist in your field, or getting Mad Cow Disease, what would it be?

Well, of course I would choose to be the top scientist in my field.

Oh good! I was worried you would choose Mad Cow!

I love it! So Cubs-like. And they say us White Sox fans are the lame-brains, while those to the North are the "best fans in the world", or some such foolishness. Hope whoever gets the guy also gets that shortstop for kicking the next ball around the infield and blowing at least 1 out, if not two. Again, I thought it was the Sox who had the error prone SS, and Cubs were the guys in town who knew defense. Vive La Curse!
I thought this club was for musicians. Who let the drummer in here??

Yeah, it wasn't the guy in the stands that blew the game, it was the nine guys on the field with gloves on who blew that game. I say this as a cub fan. I love the cubbies.....

and hate their fucking guts.....

true fans know what I'm talking about.

Get that guy who grabbed the foul tip in the witness protection program, cuz he's DEAD. I'm talking straight HOMICIDE. He's lucky he made it out of the park with all his body parts.

Oh, man...I was shocked to see all the local news shows reporting that yesterday morning. But that was only the beginning! Yesterday evening they showed the house he lives in! Brilliant!! Why not just paint a dam'n target on the dudes roof.

I'm pissed that they lost mainly because I'll have to stomach at least another year of this "curse" bull shit. On top of that now I have to hear about the infamous fan interference play, the infamous Alex Gonzalez error, and the infamous 7th inning stretch. I just hope and pray this doesn't make Billy Corgan so depressed that he starts another band.

Funniest thing I've read all day!

I hear that dude has not been able to go back to work yet. Poor shlub. Really, it's not as if he was the only guy reaching for the ball...

Yes, but he was the one who deflected the ball...I feel sorry for the guy. He's obviously had a rough life so far. Not only does he still live with his parents, but he also looks like Rick Moranis.

Anywho, maybe they lost that game because of that guy, but they only have themselves to blame. When you're up three to one and have three consecutive chances to put a team away it is your own fault if you don't do it.

They didn't lose because of some "hex." They lost because they have two EXCELLENT pitchers with a bunch of mediocre ones right behind them and then a complete joke of a closing staff behind those guys. It's a dam'n team sport. One person cannot win it for you. Mark Prior and Kerry Wood....blah blah blah...reminds me of when I lived in Cincinnati and they got Griffey Jr. You'd've thought he was Jesus Christ the way they talked about him. After trading guys away and spending all that money on him they trade him away two and a half seasons later. Pure genius, I tell you. If there is any curse in professional sports it's the curse of a bad organization which makes idiotic trades and other stupid moves like that.

I've no one else to root for this year. The Bears season is bust already. The Blackhawks, while only a week into the season, are playing horribly. Not to mention the fact that their number one center just went out for at least 6-8 weeks with back surgery and nearly half of their starting lineup are rookies.

I think I'm going to start watching women's college volleyball.

Edit: I heard on the news this morning that Florida Bush offered the guy "asylum" and some really nice resort offered him a free condo in Miami for three months!!
