Post by ottokbre » Tue May 20, 2003 9:03 am

http://www.vinaledge.com << local record store of mine that has a crazy selection, but way more in the actual store than actually listed. the ones listed online you can mailorder.

(don't worry they spelled vinyl as vinal, it was originally supposed to be witty for some reason)

http://www.aquariusrecords.org << one of my favorites, great selection, good prices... they actually have a really diverse and large selection. definitely one of the best!

http://www.vvmo.com << decent selection, decent prices, mailorder situation like vinaledge. AND, they were the record store that was used in the movie "high fidelity"! ;)

http://www.roughtrade.com << really huge, great selection, lots of rare stuff. but it's mostly imports and they are overseas, so shipping will be expensive.

http://www.ab-cd.com << lots of great vinyl (and cd) selections, mostly rare/underground/non-mainstream selections, great selection.... but expensive! the most expensive out of them all... but check it out, you may just find something you can't find anywhere else... they have some rare stuff.

http://www.forcedexposure.com << mostly electronic, standard prices...

http://www.tonevendor.com/ << mostly electronic & shoegazer, but really cheap & great prices... in fact probably the cheapest of all the stores here. but limited selection again to electronic & shoegazer mostly...

and if all else fails, check out the vinyl store www.ebay.com ;)

have you also checked around town? surely seattle has a few good vinyl record stores!!

Gosh...I don't know what kinda vinyl you want but...

http://www.dustygroove.com (rare funk, soul, re-issue, reggae, Brasil, etc.)
http://www.neptunerecords.com (indy record store)
http://www.reckless.com (eh...you know)
http://www.turntablelab.com (Hip hop, Breaks, Reggae, Battle etc.)
http://www.sundazed.com (Crazy re-issue stuff, Dylan Vinyl)
http://www.eight4eight.com (Lee Perry)
http://www.ebreggae.com (um...reggae)

Then there's amazon and
http://www.amazon.co.uk (They're gonna have the Loveless vinyl soon)

They're all kinda different. Might not be cheapest or anything. Good for info though.

Good luck.

basicly, i got a pretty kill deal on an ol hi-fi turntable with a new AT needle.
i've been really impressed with the sound quality.

i've lost a ton of CD's that i consider must haves and now wanna track them down in vinyl instead. so a lot of everything in the last 15 years or so. classics are easier to find, it's actually newer-ish releases that can be hard to track down.
