PEANUT BUTTER - FOOD ZONE

Post by I'm Painting Again » Tue May 20, 2003 11:49 pm

All the peanutbutter talk here made me crave it..i can't believe it..so for the first time in over a year i made a pb+j actually a pb+blackberry jam..

it was awesome :P

it was creamy pb but i was not complaining..

Lets just turn this thread into THE FOOD ZONE..

PB+J or Whatever else..

I like those summer rolls you know the ones i mean..rice wrap..noodles..veggies..sometimes shrimp..tamarind/PEANUT dip..etc..

Actually, I had one-o-dem Enchalada bowls from Taco Bell and it was really quite decent. Very low on the "awful aftertaste that makes you think, "What the hell did I just eat?"" factor.

Kind of expensive for Taco Bell though.[/i]

are you kidding me? jelly ruins peanut butter. jelly does not belong with peanut butter. peanut butter is choice on its own, and deserves to go solo!! tastes better that way!

hehe

I have to respectfully disagree. I'd almost never eat PB solo. If not with jelly and bread, then on an apple, maybe some celery, and if I'm feeling crazy, banana and bread.

Although, if you're not using preserves instead of jelly, your just not livin'.

I go both ways. I was plain peanut butter for many, many years but tried a PB&J a few years ago and, I must admit, it was rockin'. But, nothing beats a PB sandwich with some Nacho Cheese Doritos and a big glass of milk. Now that's good eatin'.

I almost never drink milk. But I absolutely love it with peanut butter.

Ha. I came home from band practice a little stoned last night and proceeded to make a fat salad covered in ranch dressing. And then chased with a bagel and creme cheese. My girlfriend (who doesn't get high) was like, "aren't you suppose to be eating chips or something?" She didn't get it. I didn't want junk food. I wanted to enjoy the gifts of the earth (not that ranch dressing and creme cheese are health foods).

Sorry to break from the peanut butter topic. Bump?

ok, i will admit, peanut butter goes with a lot of other things.. apples are great. peanut butter & chocolate! cheesecake! etcccc....

but pb & jelly just don't mix for me. it's too gross tasting. maybe i had too many when i was a kid.

but my dad, and i kid you not, likes to dip cold hot dogs in a jar of peanut butter and eat them. :kotzen:

I was awoken about 20 minutes earlier than usual today by my kitty nibbling on my finger (this is never annoying), and instead of trying to fall back asleep for a few minutes only to wake up sleepier than before, I used the opportunity to surprise my girlfriend with breakfast in bed. Scrambled eggs, hash browns, toast and orange juice. A lot more elaborate than whatever I usually shove in my mouth as I'm rushing around late for work. It reminded me how important it is to start the day with a good breakfast.
