Any of the Prestige-era Miles sessions that RVG did. That "Workin''', "Steamin'", "Cookin'", "Relaxin'" series is one of the best out there, of any genre. All that great music and all them champs in one place at one time....
I thought this club was for musicians. Who let the drummer in here??

I am right with you there. I would have liked to sit in on any Zepplin session. Hell, I would like to just have a shot at messing around with the mix tapes. What a dream come true that would be.

'Bitches Brew' was prolly pretty interesting.

I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall at Chess Studios when they cut the Koko Taylor version of 'Wang Dang Doodle.' Such a great arrangement (baritone guitar/guitar/tenor sax/baritone sax), and great energy, gutbucket vocals, and killer production.
:worthy:

I would've also liked to have been around for the filming/recording of 'Live at Pompei.'

Well as for chess i had Malcolm as a teacher and let me tell you msot people thought he was an asshole. i thought he was one of the most kick ass teachers i ever had very no non sense person had a great sense of humor but he made sure no one got out of his class untill they understood everything. But from the look of his credit list man i would love to record what he did.

Ummm...any Beatle session? Especially any Revolver sessions.

That or John Lennon's Plastic Ono Band as recorded in his house with Phil Spector. I get the feeling Phil was the bitch in that relationship as all he really did was ad that horrible reverb to those sessions. Heh.

John Vanderslice @ Tiny Telephone in SF right?

Funny you mention him. He lives across the street from me.

My number one pick would be the sessions for Thelonious Monk's "Genius Of Modern Music" records. It would be a treat to see the original living room Van Gelder studio, and Rudy and those amazing players at work.

These are the most smartest things anyone has ever said.

I would want to see them work before they hated each other.
