Great stuff. Your art has a look and aesthetic all its own. And screw that "bowls of fruit" crap...this is unique and refreshing. Oh yeah, and the title of the "Mr. Peanut" one made me crack up.

Cman--sorry, but I don't have anywhere else to post stuff. I'm looking into getting a webpage, though. I'll let you know when I get one up.

Wing (blue?)--I can't do anything with those two paintings, unfortunately. Giesha was something I painted for a friend's wedding, and Tree Woman was sold to a guy I helped run a writing workshop with last year. Sorry about that.

Coniferouspine--Sounds like good advice. I'm really going to look into this. I've always made tons of stuff (wrote books, recorded albums, blah, blah, blah), but I never have an outlet, and just sending work to slush piles hasn't done anything for me yet. I'm working on getting webpage, and doing CD covers would be a lot of fun and a decent way to start. Magazines would be cool too (does tapeop need art?). Thanks for the advice. Every little bit helps.

But thanks for all the compliments, guys. It's really heartening. And another surprise, some people actually caught on to my sense of humor (ala the Mr. Peanut painting, which confuses people more than anythign else). You people are great.

Cool. Got a webpage today (thanks again, bombastique) and should have some art, along with new stuff from the recent show, on it within the week. Wicked sweet!

You should do some totally kung fu gearhead painting and submit it to Larry. TapeOp has had some funky covers.

Thanks, guys. And I might just send something to Tapeop. Have they had monkeys wearing headphones on a cover yet? I'm working on a painting of that at the moment. Might be appropriate.

Didn't an issue have an ad for the "Ex'pression Center For New Media" which was a chimp with headphones on looking quizzical?

I had a chance to upload another pic. It's an illustration for a short story I wrote, that will hopefully be getting published sometime this year. Please tell me what you think:

Thanks a lot, Wing. And that's what I was aiming for--that children's story book kind of look. I feel good about this one.

And I've never really gotten anything I've done out--be it music, painting, writing, whatever. But I decided that this year I would crawl out of my hole and try to find some work. Illustrating children's books sounds like it would be a ton of fun.
