LITTLE JUAN

BLUE EYES
Kiss me, Little Juan.

hahahaha, classic.

what's your favorite film? i can't decide... but i lovvvvve the dialogue in bottle rocket. that movie is pure genius. however, so is rushmore... and royal tenenbaums has to be one of the most beautifully filmed and hilarious movies i've seen in years.

i used to want to be a filmmaker... maybe someday i could work with wes! he's definitely the coolest person houston has produced in years.

it's pretty cool cause i've met a few guys here and there who played small roles in rushmore. The guy who played margaret's dad at the end is actually William Lau, a Chinese minister for a big houston area church. That guy has some amazing eyebrows and a superhero voice. He also was an extra in office space!

I saved Latin. What'd you ever do?

Nice. Isn't it about this team of oceanographers looking for some kind of rare shark? Wes Anderson cannot make a bad movie. The soundtracks are usually solid gold as well.

Rushmore remains my favorite. I love all of his stuff, though. Can't wait to see the Life Aquatic.

I think wes anderson is cool as shit, but have you ever seen him. I watched to special features on the Royal Tenanbaums and man if that guy is not the biggest dork I have ever seen.

i love wes anderson. when rushmore came out, i didn't realize until the credits it was wes anderson... my friends and i just went because of the OR scrubs line in the preview...

nice nurse's uniform, guy.

these are OR scrubs.

oh are they?

pure genius those films.

a friend of mine was an extra in rushmore (if you notice an abnormally tall guy in the hallways at the public school... that's him)

Did anyone ever hear or read about the idea/plan for a movie about a guy who was obsessed with the TV game show Press Your Luck? It was a Wes Anderson film plot and Bill Murray was supposed to be "the guy", but I never heard any more about it after one or two mentions.

Also, did any one ever get hold of the original short that Bottle Rocket was based on? I'd pay to see that.

Bottle Rocket is probably my favorite. Rushmore is so closely second that it's uncomfortable. Tenenbaums is clever and beautifully filmed, but I really think it should have been about 2 hours longer so the character development could have been more in-depth. In the first two movies they only had the 3 or 4 main characters to introduce to us, but Tenenbaums had so many funny characters that they had to kinda cram them all in quickly.

I'm sure it wasn't Wes Anderson's choice. I'm assuming the studio had it edited down that short, so I'll just blame them.

i can't wait for this movie!! wes anderson is the best. i have all of his movies. he has an amazing and easily reckognizable style which i love. and yeah he's a big dork, but so are we. and the guy is incredibly knowledgable. i remember watching the extras on royal tnenbaums, and the cinematographer is talking with wes about how small the house is, and how it will be tough to get the shots they originally wanted, and Wes apouts off a list of movies to watch that were all done under the same conditions. damn!

Actually apparently that painting is by this painter who paints stuff like that, super disturbing and weird things. There's a whole series of the guys in masks. He's from mexico or something.

Bottle Rocket and Rushmore are such awesome movies.

time to pull out the quotes:

Dignan: Bob Maplethorpe, potential getaway driver, G0! Go!

Bob: Well, I think there's an air of mystery about me.

Dignan: Don't complicate it. Your number one strength is you have a car you can provide. Sell yourself. Start over. You ready? Go.

Bob: Okay. All right. I'm a risk taker. I'm growin' an entire crop of marijuana plants in my parent's back yard. I think that shows a little?

Dignan: Whoa, whoa. Wait a second. You?re growing an entire crop of marijuana in your back yard?

Bob: Dignan, look, I?m just not that good at this selling your self stuff, okay, so I?m just going to tell you the truth. I really want to be a part of this team, and I?m the only one with a car.

Dignan: That's good. That's good. Cause that hits me right here.
