Studio G brooklyn intern wanted

Post by joel hamilton » Fri Mar 26, 2004 10:57 am

One position: intern. We are fun, and pay for food while you are here. Our last guy got an MXL tube mic for christmas, along with an RNC and an effectron JR. We aare nice and dont ask people to do things we wouldnt do. You would be training to be an assistant, and beyond.

Please do not send me a resume! I would rather meet you in person. EMAIL ME, do not PM me.

Requirements: be cool, VERY AVAILABLE, and fun to be around. The rest of the stuff is why you would be interning anyway.

This position has become known as one of the funnest intern positions in NYC, because you are treated well, and you will have fun DAMMITT!!!! We do, every day.

Be prepared to clean a lot, and take food orders, and run to sam ash pro with the credit card... ALL THE THINGS WE DO AS ENGINEERS AND STUDIO OWNERS!! Glorious stuff like taking out the trash is always a shared duty anyway.

You will wind up being an intrinsic part of sessions, setting up weird and cool mics, and patching stuff, and assisting. Not just sitting on the couch until someone needs coffee. (but that is cool too...)

Email me via my website below (the /~twreck one, not the studio G one).

Thanks!

The only email i could find on your twreck site was a studiogbrooklyn address. is this the one you wanted it send to?

But on the studioG site, it gives the twreck address. He's testing our researching skills.

It is alright, the studio G address is just a re-direct anyway.
Thanks for all the submissions (lots and lots of them).

I will be meeting with everyone over the next week or so.

Please keep the emails coming, I like to meet EVERYONE, because you never know....

I just moved to NYC to get some studio experience, myself, and Joel's place sounds awesome but I'm hoping to go somewhere with a larger rap/r&b clientele so I can peddle my songs to them^H^H^H^H help out if they need anything. I'll still be jealous of whoever gets the Studio G job, tho. :D

I was the last intern at Studio G... besides the fact that Joel is a complete egomaniacal tyrant (God forbid his Pad Thai isn't spicy enough), it really is a great place to intern! You learn a whole whole lot and get to be around some VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE and TALENTED people ALL THE TIME.

To everyone that sent me an emal:

THANKS SO MUCH!!!!

Really awesome people, and a LOT of them emailed me about this.

We have found our new guy, and he is a tech, and we have already paid him money, and food, and guns, and all of the good stuff!

I really appreciate the overwhelming response. Check back at the end of the summer!

Sincerely,

-Joel Hamilton
