The Sun Hypnotic tracks are really well recorded. Sounds like a hybrid of the darker, more chaotic impulses of Pink Floyd, old King Crimson and Rush. Really tight playing.

The Tukada track is a little rougher around the edges, though I get the impression it's supposed to be. Nice work, though.

What was it you hated about adat?

the adat hate stems from knowing our impact live, and knowing how it sounds on tape versus adat. When that was done, I hadn't heard a whole lot of adat stuff, after though I found out that most adat recording carry that flangy digital tone.

both are unmastered

The tukada stuff was done on my tascam 38 and dumped to vegas, and that is a really rough mix, still trying to learn the digital mixing process

thanx for the comments

plus I appreaciate the king crimson note, them mahavishnu orchestra, return to forever, and others alike were found after a love for Zepplin and floyd. So its that stuff that has pushed us this far.

I listened to "swine in silk decor", I see what you mean about a flangey digital sound, although that may be the MP3 transfer doing that.
The song is good, but I think you went overboard with the difference in dynamics between the loud and quiet parts. I kept fiddling with my volume knob while listening so I could hear the quiet parts without the loud parts blowing up my speakers.
But good tune.
