computer question

For some reason I can not playback .wmv files. MPEGS and stuff play fine, but not .wmv's. I have WMP10. Anybody have any suggestions??

Do you have all of the proper Codecs?? Does it complain about that when you try to play em?

The video playback is extremely choppy but the audio is fine. I have all the codecs (I think). The same problem happened before, back when I had ME. I then install XP and it still does the same thing. Graphics are onboard.

So, the wmv files work, but they are just choppy?? Or they dont work at all??

Yeah, it plays. But you might see like 5 frames of a 20 second clip.

uninstall WMP 10. download WMP 6.4, which is still on the Microsoft site. that was the last decent working version of media player. as soon as they started adding all the lame ass bubble graphics and skins and bullshit, the thing sucked.
