Post by JustinHedrick » Tue Jan 25, 2005 11:03 am

I just saw the ad in tape of....$249 is a pretty tempting price. Does anyone else know about this mic?

I think I saw somewhere that it's a rebranded version of the Nady ribbon.

yes they're made in the same chinese factory as the nady and others.

they're even cheaper here. and on the east coast shipping from germany is just as fast if not quicker than from the pacific northwest. too bad the dollar isn't any stronger right now.

if you can buy 100 units, they're $70 each from china.

Has anyone checked this mic out? I want to get a pair of figure 8 mics. Firgure 8 ribbons would be cool. I am a little skeptical because of the price though...

I'm also in. Is that for the nady's? That's damn cheap.

I may be unemployed, but that's never stopped my g.a.s. before.

I'd be in too. God, I'm such a lemming.

Do you actually know that you can order them like that, or is it just a guess? There's probably additional costs (import duties, shipping), and there'd probably be some quality control to be done on the receiving side, but I'd still be interested.

Somebody would have to come up with a cool Tape-op nameplate or sticker to put on these bad boys.
