I realize that amongst all the White album's tracks the ones that were recorded at Trident studios (like Honey Pie for instance) sound great and better than the other ones. Does anyone know what kind of pres they used at Trident in 68? It sounds pretty valvish to me but there was so much valve involved at various stages of the sound chain...

whatever they had there, it was definitely custom designed. Im sure this info will likely be in the recording the beatles book coming outt.

You must be talking about the Rudy Vallee-esqe Honey Pie, with the cool jazz guitar break, right? That's a very listenable tune, imho. The "other" Honey Pie is a bit of a loveable mess...
