That's a great little amp. Very bright, nice clean sound all the way up to massive overdrive. Nice score!r0ck1r0ck2 wrote:Gibson Skylark Crestline ($150)
I recently got an Alesis Akira rack unit for $50. It's fantastic--if you like the ModFX boxes, this has a lot of their contents in it. Very clean but eccentric effects. And balanced I/O and a switch on the front. AND a little LED VU meter.

Oh snap! Wait 'til Shawn posts. He's got you all beat.
I just bought a few really cool things, but I'm not talking about them yet.
In the past, I've gotten 12" and 14" round badge Gretsch toms with cases that used to belong to Billy Hart for $50 total. I got a 1926 Deagan xylorimba for $400. I had an AC30 basically given to me. I got another 4-piece aqua satin flame round badge Gretsch kit with hardware for $425. I got a 20" vintage turkish K for $10 and a Remo snare drum. Got an awesome 18" SDHC cymbal for $3. I got a Beyer M380 for $120. I got 2 AKG 451EBs with -20 pads and original cases and clip for $75 each. I got a 70s U87 with shockmount, clip, and original case for $1k. I got a pile of Federal limiters relatively cheap. I got an Altec 436C for $250. I got a Sony C-38B for $300. Got an EV 635A for $10. Got a no longer made Noble and Cooley snare drum for $5.26. Yes, that's five dollars, twenty six cents.
I'm sure there are some others. A few of them will probably have been good scores. Time will tell.

Alot of my gear being good deals.. i try to wait til they come along.. like is a beyerdynamic soundstar (the 421 looking one) for $70 a good deal? cause i see them go for that or with the "vintage" tag for $200. I got my api 3124+ for a demo/open box price but it turned out to be a new one straight from the factory... therefore saving me like what close to $600. that's a lot of money. I tell you, my cheap ass mic stands are not a good deal, fuck them. i'm ready to spend that $600 i saved on the API on freakin' mic stands! I consider my cad e100 for $100 a good deal since it gets used all the time.. much more than some other mics i've paid twice for. My sovtek mig 100 was $125.00, good for 4 years or so, then it crapped out on me and cost $250 to fix and it sounds 500 times better than ever, too bad my active guitar playing diminished around that time. it has like "tone" and stuff now, and that "tone" doesn't change everytime i turn it on. that got frustrating.
Now that i think about, the best deal is a marshall 4X12 for $75.00. It was supposedly "broken" but broken meant that it needed rewireing.
