WTB: Hammond M3 parts

Post by Trem2 » Sun Nov 27, 2005 11:16 am

Hi- I have an M3 which recently went sick on me. Had it looked at and found out that the input transformer has gone bad.

Anyone have an M3 they want to part out or sell for cheap ?

I might be able to help you out. I have a junker that I keep for spare parts. What tranny do you need? I'm not sure what the "input transformer" is... are you talking the main power transformer?

Hey B3groover-
Yeah I'm only repeating what my repair guy said.
He said if I can find an input transformer from another M3 he could fix it for me.
I guess its the main power transformer, but I am really not sure.

I do know that when looking into the organ from the back , the broken transformer is on the far LEFT side of the organ. Does that narrow it down?

Is it the matching transformer? That's the big, silver can that hangs below the drawbars, just above the starter motor.

...Because if it is, that's what I need, too.

I meant nothing against Goff,, or organtec.. both fantastic people and service.. their reputations are first rate and deserved.

I just happen to know Stoel and he usually has 3-5 Hammonds sitting around for parts..
