any one use those new usb microphones?
ive been thinkng about picking a sampson co1 usb for demo vocals straight into my computer (i dont have fancy digi or anything) just wondering if anyone used it... ive never used the sampson co1 but i can at least find reviews of it, just wonderif the usb was much different.
I know Blue just came out with a new one, it's one of their "ball" mics. Probably worth checking out.
I had two normal Samson c01's which were good for how cheap they were and got used a ton, but I have since moved on to better things.
The thing I wonder is, would a usb mic be like adding another channel to your DAW? Could I just plug it in and assign it a track? I have no idea how these work, but they seem interesting and claim to be "plug and play." I guess I could find out, but I'm skeptical still.

That is a podcast I listen to sometimes. Its from a pretty cool indie music news site. The main guy uses the mic you speak of, i just asked him the other day. Sounds pretty clear to me, even after the low quality mp3's that are podcasts.
