haha......yea I've thought about it. I worked and still have the option of working in a studio that has a Studer 827, SSL, tons or pre's and all the vintage mics you could ever need. So I would rather spend my time there instead of wondering what everything I record would sound like on a 2" and mixed through an SSL with vintage La2a's, 1176's, Neve 3360's, Pultec's, and a real plate reverb and then boucned to a Studer A80.
Anger management
i am interested in the AC30 and the strat( is the strat American?? And where you located....Maybe mics as well)you are sure about this? you seem to have alot of cool stuff- seems to me that you may just be frustrated...Just a thought- let me know. Be Blessed

How do these sound compared to AKG 451 w/ck1 caps and Oktava MC012s?GCMan wrote: Pair of Se Electronics pencil Condensers - $175.00

They're way less smooth and rounded than 451s imo, slightly brittle sounding. Sorry GC if that ruins a sale.Leopold wrote:How do these sound compared to AKG 451 w/ck1 caps and Oktava MC012s?GCMan wrote: Pair of Se Electronics pencil Condensers - $175.00

You win some you lose some. The price and product is really what you're looking at here. For people who have $300-400 to spend on one pencil condenser sure the 451 might be a good choice. These mics arefor the home studio guy looking for a matched pair of pencil condensers that will hold their own with a decent price tag.

Totally, the price is obviously way lower than for a pair of 451s.GCMan wrote:You win some you lose some. The price and product is really what you're looking at here. Well I have both the 451s and mc012 that's why I was curious. But it seems like 012s are going up in price now and maybe more things like these SE mics or Behringers willl fill the under $100 range.Rigsby wrote:Totally, the price is obviously way lower than for a pair of 451s.GCMan wrote:You win some you lose some.
