I think they're soundtec? They must be about 13 years old at this point.

I also use them for re-amping. Mix it with the original and hot damn it sounds good.

Built-in 2" speaker from Sony TV monitor. Gives me "shitty speaker" and "mono compatible?" all in one swell foop.

I've got a pair of the Auratone 5C's, powered by a Hafler Transnova power amp. I scored them for $40 about 5 years ago and use them all the time. I've used plenty of crappy boom boxes and radio shack speakers at other studios with great results many times. Considering I've seen the Auratones go for $500 on ebay, I can't imagine spending that much on them with so many cheap alternatives.

Infinity RS-9's powered by a 70's Sansui AU-505 amp. Priceless!

An old pair of Fisher detachable boombox speakers I've had since high school, powered from a 2W/ch radio shack "integrated amplifier".

EDITed for accuracy.:)

some cheap Altec Lansing (sad to see what happend to a good Company)

I also have a boom box from about '81 and various other radios that I listen to using small FM transmitter. I plug in and listen to throughout the house or in my cars in the driveway.

I remote into my daw and take my wireless laptop around so I can play back/tweek.
