MS Decoding question

Post by Kyle » Fri May 16, 2003 10:51 am

Hello All

I was hoping that someone could shed a little light on this subject for me.
Can I build one of these decoders? Where would I find a schematic? Can I buy a pre made decoder, or can I just use my console? I am very interested in the mic technique any suggestions would be great.

Thanks
Kyle

aea makes a stand alone decoder, but if you have a phase flip on your console, you can just use that. Mid to on channel panned at 12'0clock, side multed to two channels, flip the phase on one and pan em left and riggth to taste and thats your image.
