hey all, just saw these guys here in silverlake the other night. they're closing out their n. american tour in portland and seattle friday and saturday nights, respectively. easily the best, most interesting live music i've heard all year (and this has been a stellar year so far).

btw, that first image is from their performance last year at the los angeles natural history museum (i recognized the bison).

oh yeah, they appeared in tape op a few years ago.

seriously, if any tape-ops are going to either tonight's show in portland (larry, you listening?) or tomorrow night's in seattle, i'd love to hear how it was...

I've been a fan for a long time...I saw them at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago in July. It was great. I can't say I've listened to much of their latest album, but The Civil War is definitely a fave.

Matmos is pretty sweet..I like Mum better though..as far as that style goes..That surgury album is RAD..

I was seriously damaged (in a very good way) by spending a lot of my late teen years year around Martin from Matmos. This was a long time ago. Seriously good man, there.
