Get's me everytime. I do a pretty mean stupid whiteboy dance to that one.
McCartney's original is beautiful and haunting. Someday I should do a cover of that one.

Back on topic...a novel concept...
I'm thoroughly embarrassed by my attraction to Maneater by Hall & Oates, or pretty much any Hall & Oates, for that matter.
Also, Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins, America by Neil Diamond, and many songs by Roxette.

Speaking of....Hall and Oates had this really funky drum-machine sound on their eariler tracks. I wonder what they used. it almost sounds like the rhythm generator on an old gramma hammond or something.

I have to admit that I've been spinning the Hustle & Flow soundtrack a bunch lately, ever since finally seeing the film a few weeks ago. The contractor working on my house is also a really talented MC, and I can tell he's bugged by all the gangsta crunk shit I'm spinning, but, hey, I like it. Cause, y'know, it's hard out here fo' a pimp...

Back on topic: "Hug My Man Breast" by Mubbla Buggs and Snookie Carbone... the extended dance mix, of course. Cheesy, yes, but it's got one hell of a hook.
The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.

heheheheheheh.

You punch in at 8:30 every morning, except you punch in at 7:30 following a business holiday, unless it's a Monday, then you punch in at 8 o'clock. Punch in late and they dock you. Incoming articles get a voucher, outgoing articles provide a voucher. Move any article without a voucher and they dock you. Letter size a green voucher, oversize a yellow voucher, parcel size a maroon voucher. Wrong color voucher and they dock you! 6787049A/6. That is your employee number. It will not be repeated! Without your employee number you cannot get your paycheck. Inter-office mail is code 37, intra-office mail 37-3, outside mail is 3-37. Code it wrong and they dock you! This has been your orientation. Is there anything you do not understand, is there anything you understand only partially? If you have not been fully oriented, you must file a complaint with personnel. File a faulty complaint and they dock you!

The song "Your Kiss is on My List" sounds exactly like an old Roland Compu-Rhythm box we had lying around.

You mean the tune they ripped off from McCartney II?

edit: hadn't seen Mjau's post. Are we making the same point, or did the ladies actually credit McCartney? 'Cause I was under the impression they claimed to have written it?

Yeah, I have no idea if they took credit for it or not, but it's definitely Paul's and a great song, too.
