Oktava ML-19

Do any of you have any comments about this microphone, such as uses/placement/etc?

I see this link on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/RARE-RUSSIAN-RIBBON ... dZViewItem

I am posting it in the interest of full disclosure. This seems like a great deal at a great price. However, the condition of the microphone seems a little shady.

But, nonetheless, are there any specific stories about this mic that you want to share?

Thanks!
aaron

i don't know anything about that mic but for 70 bucks...Get it and start using it. Try some vocals or some acoustic guitar for starters....Let us know. I love oddball mics...
Of course I've had it in the ear before.....

I'd be very cautious about ordering electronics from Siberia.

I rock the ml19 all the time..a really good ribbon mic..it's cardioid BTW..and sounds better with the blast guard removed..

I ordered mine from soundroom and it cost more than 4x what that one is going for..

it's a great great great mic..

It's a gamble though ebaying from Siberia..
