I follow the logic: Ravi Shankar's daughter's music is played on some jazz stations, therefore Ravi Shankar is himself jazz...

That piece is kinda awful. I can see experimental stuff, but that really lacked ANY melody. But, there are people out there that are into that sorta thing.
