The day job kicked my butt last week. A need a day off in my studio. Friday off is a great reason to come to the city to meet you all Thursday night. I've never met most of you...

Sounds like a plan! My exact arrival will be at the mercy of the trains, but somewhere between 7 and 7:30 seems likely.

Just to connect the dots for Chris... take the Red line north to the Grand/State stop. When you get to the street... look for Rock Bottom, because it's right across the street.

How are we going to identify each other? Will we all be carrying the latest issue of TapeOp, for those who haven't gotten it yet? :)

Hey Hey!

I -think- I'd recognize Chris, and I -might- be remotely recognizable from my avatar (except I have eyes and a mouth) but the TapeOp-In-Hand plan sounds pretty good in terms of meeting at the door.

For those arriving later, let's say whoever gets there first tells the host/hostess that you're expecting friends and the group is called TapeOp.

I guess it'd be good to know how many we're expecting too...

Let's see, so far we've got...

I suppose if anyone feels the need we could start a little thing where I PM cgarges my real name and cell number and then he adds his and PMs channelcatrecording, etc...

Magazine in hand is a better idea than name tags I guess.

I suppose I could wear my t-shirt from last year's TOCon...

Hey guys,

Thanks for organizing this so well. And Sco, thanks for the details. I know dwlb, so I'll keep an eye out for him and there may be the possibility of drumsound coming up this way (in which case, I may arrive with him). My picture and cell phone number are on my website.

See you guys tomorrow at 7-ish.

Have fun y'all. I have to bow out tonight. My back is acting up again and I need to sit on some ice. Too many bass cabinets in my past. ugh.
not to worry, just keep tracking....

Hey Hey!

I'm just now leaving, and coming in from the burbs...

So I'm like an hour away.

If anyone has a Blackberry or otherwise gets this... save me a seat!

I just grabbed Chris' cell from his site so I'll call him too.

Had to leave earlyish to catch my train back to the burbs, but it was a great time. I'm terrible at names, but we ended up with 9 of us. Nice to meet y'all!

Had a great time, good to meet everybody and see the Chrises again (garges and mr. kilroy).

Plus I saw Tara Reid smoking outside a sushi place on my way back to the office.
