ARPs,Rhodes', Hammonds and a Scully reel to reel..1976?
guys i did this track in like a few hours..it's an obvious homage to Floyd..did i succeed in trying to capture a certain time period?..it's more an experiment,trying to get my production chops up and my musican chops too since i play everything...
Arp Solina synth-direct to Altec preamp.
Hammond C-3-double mic'd leslie
Jazz Bass through Ampeg V2 guitar head and Dr. Z cab.
Rhodes electric piano-direct to preamp.
Fender relic Strat through Ampeg V2 with 2 Rode Nt-1 mics.....
Drumkit, 2 mics.......
song is called 'i could really use a ride'.

Dude, thank you a MILLION!..The bass is something i've always been so self concious of, like, is it fat, is it thin am i tone deaf? Who the hell knows,but it's hard for me!....

Hey dude, what model Scully did you use? The bass is nice and BIG without being overbearing. I think the drum sound could be a bit more "hi-fi" but maybe that's just the bad mp3 compression of myspace.

Just caught this...thanks for checking us out. Jim and I are trying to piece together some better and/or cooler studio gear. The stuff you heard at the Root Doctor site we did at Glenn Brown's in Lansing MI.
