You guys are brutal.... Seriously bro..If you're in over your head ain't much gonna change by Thursday no matter how much you read. Let the band know you're a little out of your comfort zone and everyone figure it out as you go. Keep it simple and you'll be ok....But if the band kicks your ass at least make sure it ends up on Youtube so we can watch it....Good luck...Have fun.

Perhaps you could suggest to the band that they hire someone to engineer the session who isn't overwhelmed at the prospect of engineering a session.
Barring that, read all recording related messageboards and form some opinions on how you want to tackle the task, though you will never have heard any of the suggestions in practice.
If you are still uncomfortable, go to gearslutz and they will recommend a very expensive piece of equipment that will make everything sound better.
