You guys are so mean. What if he's good to his word. What if he's dead in a ditch someplace, and you guys just go along in your merry way, making fun of the desperate. Your willful ignorance of his plight means he's been hung. By pirates. Lots of them. Mean ones. I hope you're satisfied.

...I mean, I know I am.

For the love of God, man, whatever you do: NO reverb on the vocals.
And if the singer's flat, by all means don't pitch-correct or ask him to sing it better.
You might recommend silicone implants, though.

So I'm not trying to be The Ultimate Dickhead On This Thread?, but if the project is for your recording school......

...why are you asking for help here?

...is your instructor not assigning you a book or required reading?

...are you not reading any other reference material?

...are you skipping all your classes?

...is the instructor not very good?

Just wonderin'.

No man, actually I dont miss classes, the instructor, Dave Downham, is fantastic, and I have a book. I just wanted other opinions on how to do something like this, Im new to this field but feel that the book doesnt offer all the best answers. I guess I was wrong for assuming this was a creative field and that not everything is done by the book. Sorry for making such "wild" assumptions.

Dave is a good guy and I'm sure he's giving you lots of good info. Where's he teaching at, anyway?

So what you're actually asking for is some different approaches to a pretty standard setup, right?

You know, she's single. Maybe I could arrange a date for you two wacky kids? They serve dinner at the old folks' home at 4:00 sharp.
