If I see these words, I immediatly lose interest...
For some reason If I see the following words...
"Fresh"
"West Coast Style"
"Sick Beats"
"Slammin"
advertised for a studio and or production work, it makes me think of a "Quick fix" or "Follow the current trend" in music.
I don't know...maybe it's cause I'm stuck at work on a Friday night and I need something to bitch about...

Terms used describing gear:
Warm, punchy, and my latest favourite: "musical"
I mean, what exactly is a musical EQ? Does it play the kzoo? Can it carry a tune? Do counterpoint? What?
Ah, ambiguous adjectives - where would marketing departments be without them?

"Pro" and "Professional"
I know, I know, there's a certain Digidesign product that has this as part of its name, but you gotta admit, "Pro Tools" is kinda dumb-sounding. Its like naming an LCD Television the "Clarity Box", or a pair of shoes "Walking Biscuits", or a car the "Fast Jalopy". Its a great product and works like a dream, but Sonic Solutions was a better moniker, IMHO.
And the Mac Book Pro? I guess its better than the Mac Book 'Spensive. But would it have killed them to name it the Mac Book Plus?
Plus, Pro Tools and Apple aside, there are a lot of low-end products with "Pro" as a part of their name. For example, I doubt a lot of studios are billing hours using the Fast Trak Pro. Its a $200 interface, for heavens sake. "Pro"? There are a lot of project studios using this product, and I'm sure there are some good songs that have seen life because of it. That's a good thing and all, but the Fast Trak Pro not the first choice of someone who is making their living recording.
Here's a list of culprits as found by Sweetwater's internal search engine:

The only other exception I could find (at least in the first 5 pages) was the Muse Research Receptor Pro. Receptor Pro sounds a lot less like one of Voltron's adversaries than Receptor, so Muse gets a pass. I guess.

Prog out with your cog out.
I was talking to this guy about his awesome Ibanez pointy head stocked guitar, and he kept describing it as "filthy". I wanted to strike him, but he was a lot bigger than myself - and he did have that guitar.

actually not one of those words but rather when some huszla walks in on unsuspecting 'artists', stringing buzzwords together, giving out business cards. shameless self promoters.

i don`t like the term "colored".
my new boss at my day job speaks, totally earnestly, about promoting "synergy". and she makes the gesture with her hands when she says it. you know the one. i had to bite my lip to keep from laughing.
