Thank you! One more professional musician who admits the POD is great. For what it is, I mean. But I've also had engineers say, "Damn that guitar/organ sounds lush and crackly," and "You musta had your amp cranked..." Nope. You just have to spend time getting to know the little guy. Talkin about the POD.

Well he must have been around for the mastering of Zen Arcade and New Day Rising, then ...MoreSpaceEcho wrote:from all the reports i've heard, and i've heard a few, bob REALLY likes his treble.bedbug wrote:No kidding man, nooooo kidding.I always start with EQ first. Due no doubt to not being able to hear as much of it as the rest of us.MoreSpaceEcho wrote:from all the reports i've heard, and i've heard a few, bob REALLY likes his treble.bedbug wrote:No kidding man, nooooo kidding.I always start with EQ first. my friend was just telling me about when he opened for bob a couple years ago. he was rocking the POD live too. settings: bass on 4, everything else on 10.
with a strat.
during bob's soundcheck he and another friend were cowering in fear in the dressing room because even through a thick concrete wall the high end was unbearable.

While the chimey guitars on "Workbook" are lovely, that's a bit much.
The tale is that when he sleeps in hotel rooms he has to have a TV on, tuned to static to mask the tinnitus.
Having not slept in a hotel with him, I cannot anecdotally back up that statement.

threads that start off with the word "recipe" never seem to have a long life expectancy.
