Is it true that omnis dont have phase problems?

So it wasnt phase with another mic its immune to just with itself and distant room sounds? I don't use pzms much so I was a bit hazy about how they worked. And Omni's dont have a proximity effect if its a single capsule omni, if its omni by using two capsules (like many LDC) then it will still present some proximity effect.

It's by John Eargle (who, sadly passed away just last year) was a great engineer. He wrote a few books on microphones and micing techniques. Highly regarded author.
This book will answer your questions, and also dispel some of the myths you are stuck with.
