Seems like we mebbe have some possible hard-core nerds, and drinkers.

Not to mention former Galesburgerians.

Mebbe the next meet could be a Friday?

Rock Bottom won't take reservations for the back room / pool room, but they are aware we are coming and don't think it should be a problem. Just mention "Tape Op" at the door.

Looking forward to seeing everyone tonight and nerdin' it up a bit!

I'll probably be there more like 7:30 - had to change my transit plans around a bit.

Sorry we missed you dwlb!

Marshall, Scott and I had a nice little hang tonight. Sco showed off a new mount for the mic he showed last time - very cool and unique. Repurposing - that should be a topic for a TO article, or series of articles - subjects pulled from the TOMB. Rad!!!

Scott - Always nice to chat, and learn while drinking. I'll be in touch soon about the mics.

Marshall - Great meeting you! I'll send you my contact info directly. Let me know when your next drum tracking date is. I want to see what these Komits can do on the drum buss, and what the Level-Or can do to a room mic. I'll pack the rest of my lunchbox too!

Let's try this again in a month or two. I bet we'd get Mr. Hardy on board if we gave him some notice after AES. Where's Kerry? Time to pay my EARS dues.

vvv - I'm up for a Friday night hang. What does your November schedule look like? I got Cheech & Chong at Rosemont on the 8th, but that's about it (b-day present from my old lady - nice!).

'til next time!

Yeah, I got there about 10:15...Marshall was still there though, so we hung out for awhile. Sorry to have missed the rest of y'all.

Sorry I was not able to be there. I had already made plans, and I was only notified a couple of days ago, and the AES convention is next week, so I'm pretty much entering full-panic mode in preparation for it. Just a little more advance notice and I'll most likely make it.

November 14 or 28 are good for me.

Did I ever mention my old power-funk band used to cover "Earache My Eye"?

That's awesome! I kick out "Basketball Jones" and a couple others every once in a while when testing new mics or setting levels; those and the intro to "Penguin in Bondage" from Zappa/Mothers' Roxy&Elsewhere.

Nov. 14th is good by me.
