Hi,

My band is nearing completion of recording/mixing our full length album. Along the way I've been using a lot of tips and tricks I've picked up from reading TapeOp or from attending TapeOpCon over the years. There's just one thing left to do and we want lots of people to help make it happen. We'd like to get people from all over the world to help us sing on the end of one of our songs by recording a vocal track in your own studio, bedroom, practice space. etc. and submitting it to us via email. The idea is to create the world's largest choir ever recorded. Well maybe it won't be that big, but bigger than 10 people would be really fun.

So if you have some time over the next week or two to belt out some "ahh's" for us, we'd love to include your voice on our record. Chances are you sing better than us anyway. If you are feeling brave, feel free to submit some killer harmonies. We just want it to sound like a huge choir.

Thanks man. I'm pretty excited about this and hope it works out as cool as it does in my head.

If anyone is currently recording a band, see if they wouldn't mind laying down vocal track too. The more, the merrier.

So, question: There's two or three lines of vocal in the guide track, then a bunch of just band. Are we supposed to sing along with those few lines? The vocal is also pretty buried--what are the words?

If you download the second track using the "choir" link you will get a solo'd track of just the vocals I need sung. If you import both the "mix" and "choir" files into your DAW then you can hear the vocal part in the context of the mix.

You just sing the "ahh" part. Let me know if you are still confused and I'll try to help you through it.
