there's tons of Chinese sand that can be had for pennies on the dollar. then you just buy a nice American or British sand bag and transfer the sand from the Chinese bag into the new bag, being careful not to spill any of it, and you'll have that great vintage American or Vintage sand sound. Or you can just spray paint "Telefunken" on the Chinese bag and call it M16 sand.

You method is correct, but your reasoning is wrong. The sandbag on the right are is to keep the drummer from hitting the hihat too hard. With the weight he can't lift his arm as high as he usually does...minorkeylee wrote:You guys have it ALL wrong.
