Post by vsr600 » Mon Mar 02, 2009 9:55 am

I'm selling a bunch of stuff on craigslist local only for now. I really don't have time to deal with shipping and paypal etc. at the moment so I'm giving Memphis area people first dibs on all this stuff. PM me here or on craigslist for more info:

Some info on the d&r board:
It's an 84 D&R 4000mk2 that still needs some work to get it completely restored. I did about 75% of the work. I recapped the entire board, rechipped the entire board, re-built the power supply and re built (basically) the master section. It still needs some metal work because the previous previous owner for some reason got rid of the back panels which hold the xlr inputs. I have all the connectors you need to connect xlr's to the channels so all that would be needed would be someone to make the plates for you and get some d-style xlr jacks. Alternatively you could make a snake that goes from the mini-molex connectors to xlr and just not worry about the cosmetics of the back. It has a few other quirks like a few scratchy pots and a couple of the meters act up sometimes but it does work and has been in use and turned on for about a year now as a mixing console. It's a 24 channel, 8 bus, 6 aux, dual fader inline board if you know what all that means. The pre's are all discrete and each channel has a 4 band eq with two sweepable mids. If you're still interested, you can come by and test it out it's set up in my apartment right now in Mid-town.
These pics are kinda old but give you an idea, since I took this pic I moved
everything over two spaces to the right to make it more centered:

here's a pic when i first got it showing an ipod bussed to all the channels
showing they all work:

Also after thinking about it a long time and listening to the mic on a few more singers, I decided to keep the R84...
