Thanks so much for taking some time out to talk on the phone with me. Since I'm only able to go to college part time (gotta work) it is going to be a long road. It is inspiring to get to know real people who are actually making a living creating/recording/doing music.
You guys gave me a lot of insight into the business, as well as some good "next steps" to investigate.

I just moved to SD from the DC area. I had a small studio and was building a good clientele before we moved. I went to school back there. I have a mixing set up in the house now (lots of gear) so if you ever want to get together and talk about it I would love to hear about the area and let you know about my experiences. I am still getting some mixing jobs, but due to moving at a strange economic time, it will take a while to get a full studio up and running. Good luck.
